ABOUT THE EVENT
Q. Where is this auction held?
A. At Forest Hills Lutheran Christian School - 4221 SW Golf Course Rd, Cornelius, OR 97113 - from 5-9pm on April 25th.
Q. Are early bird ticket discounts available?
A. No.
Q. Can I buy tickets at the door?
A. No, because we have to send a meal count to our caterer prior to the event.
Q. After I buy my ticket online, how do I collect my ticket?
A. We don't do physical tickets. You will receive an email confirming your ticket purchase and you will be entered on our attendance list. Please check-in when you arrive at the auction.
Q. Can I get a refund if I change my mind about attending?
A. No, all ticket sales are final.
Q. Can groups be seated at the same table, or can I choose where I want to sit?
A. We do our best to seat groups together. To guarantee seating together, we recommend purchasing a full table.
Q. What's the event timing?
A. 5:00 pm -Check-in, cocktails, and silent auction.
6:45 pm - Dinner begins
7:00 pm - Live auction
8:00 pm - Dessert auction
Please arrive at 5:00 PM so you don't miss anything!
Q. Is there a dress code for the evening?
A. Dress to impress! Dress for a special occasion.
Q. What is the menu or the evening?
A. Dinner will be served Buffet Style.
It includes A Signature Salad (DF, GF, V & Vegan) - Mixed greens with sliced grapes, apples, slivered almonds tossed with an apple balsamic dressing.
Assorted Bread slices & Butter (GF options available upon request).
Roasted Herb Potatoes & Asparagus (DF, GF & NF).
Herb Couscous with Roasted Vegetables (DF, NF, V & Vegan).
Meatballs & Tzatziki Sauce (Falafel option available upon request) (GF, V & Vegan).
Grilled Chicken Skewer with Mustard Sauce (DF, GF & NF).
Dessert is auctioned to the highest bidder, but if you don't win a dessert auction, a small dessert will be available. Coffee and water will be available as well.
Q. What if I have special accessibility needs?
A. Our facility is ADA compliant.
Q. What activities are at the auction?
A. The night includes a dinner catered by Signature Affair, a cash bar for wine and beer, a silent auction, live portion presented by an auctioneer, and a dessert auction.
Q. Do I need to be affiliated with the school to attend?
A. No, all are welcome! Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors.
Q. Are children allowed at the event?
A. No, this is an adult only event.
Q. How secure are my credit card details?
A. Greater Giving is owned by a company called Global Payments. Your credit card information is held with the best security methods available today.
Q. What payment options will be accepted?
A. A credit card or debit card is required for purchases. We cannot accept ACH, Venmo, PayPal or other alternative payment methods. Silent and Live auction bidding will only be available to registered online users.
Q. Who do I contact if I want to volunteer?
A. Email KnoebelK@fhlcs.org or call the school at (503) 359-4853 and tell them you'd like to volunteer at the auction. We have many opportunities available.
Q. Why are tickets so expensive?
A. This is a fundraiser. The cost of the tickets covers our cost for the meal and our expenses to hold the event.
Q. What will be done with the proceeds of this event?
A. All proceeds of the auction go directly to our school. The auction helps keep tuition rates low by offsetting tuition costs and enhancing opportunities for our students. The paddle raise is typically for a special cause and all funds from that portion of the auction will go to that specific cause.
Q. Is the money I spend tax deductible?
A. Cash donations, such as the paddle raise, are tax deductible. Also, any cost you pay above an item's fair market value is tax deductible. In addition, any item you donate to the auction is tax deductible up to its fair market value. Please consult you tax advisor for specific guidance.
Q. If I can't make it to the event, can I still make a cash donation?
A. Absolutely! We thank you for your generosity. There is a link on this website for donations, or contact the school office for more options.
Q. If I win an auction item, where do I pick it up?
A. Auction item winners will pick up their items at the event.
